Viruses 

A Computer Virus is normally a piece of Software that attaches itself to legitimate programs.
Each time the program is run the Virus is also launched and has the chance to infect more programs by attaching itself to them also.

E-mail Viruses

Email Viruses travel as an E-mail attachment and are launched when the user opens the attachment.
These then usually replicate themselves by automatically emailing  itself to people in the infected Computers Address Book.
The infected attachment are normally called something attractive to the user to "bait" them into opening it.

Trojans

Trojans or Trojan Horses are simply Computer Programs. The program may claim to be a legitimate program, some even claim to be Anti-Virus Programs,  but when run they  allow a hacker remote access  to the infected system.  Trojans have no way of replicatingf themselves.

Worms

A Computer Worm is a self replicating Computer Program that uses Computer Networks and security holes to spread. It scans the network for other Computers with security holes and copies itself to that computer before starting the process again.
